Biography

David Quayle is a retired army Major General and was Estate Agents Ombudsman.Until recently he was a Trustee and Executive Chairman of the East Holton Charity - which provides respite care for the disabled and their carers - and has now become Wiltshire Chairman of the Soldiers, Sailors and their Families Association.David was appointed to the Trust Board in October 1999.Married with three grown up children, David lives in Figheldean in Wiltshire.

David Quayle is a non-executive director of Salisbury Health Care NHS Trust.He retired in 1999 as the first Ombudsman for Estate Agents, a position he had filled since leaving the Army as a Major-General in 1990.During his military career he held command and staff appointments covering a diverse range of functions.David was appointed to the MCCB Board in November 1999.

On retirement as a Major General from the Army in 1990, he was until 1999 the first Ombudsman for Estate Agents; thereafter he served until November 2004 as a non-industry member of the Mortgage Code Compliance Board.He remains a non-executive director of Salisbury Health Care NHS Trust.He was from 1993 to 1999 the chair of the executive committee of the East Holton charity (regd. no 1011867) and is now the Wiltshire Chairman for SSAFA Forces Help (regd. no 210760).
