David advises on constitutional and corporate legal matters for Local Authorities including the most complex and contentious/sensitive legal issues.He also has extensive experience of housing stock transfers.

Background

David joined us from Vale of White Horse District Council, where he fulfilled a number of legal and managerial roles as Solicitor to the Council, District Secretary and Solicitor and Director of Support Services.Throughout his time at the Vale David held the statutory position of Monitoring Officer and was the Electoral Registration and Returning Officer for 5 years prior to leaving the Authority.

Prior to working for the Vale of White Horse, David worked for Horsham District Council, East Hampshire District Council, Arun District Council and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

David has a law degree from London University and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981.He holds the Law Society's Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice and the AEA's Certificate in Electoral Administration.
