Aarti Puri is an in-house solicitor in the legal team at Mencap, the leading UK charity working with children and adults with a learning disability and their families and carers.

Aarti qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and specialised in personal tax planning (including offshore), international and UK estate planning, issues of residence and domicile, wills , trusts, the administration of estates and advising charities.She has acted for a variety of high profile clients, from individuals to trustees to large families, and has a whole breadth of experience in the international private client and charity sector.

Aarti originally trained at Addleshaw Booth & Co in Leeds, then moved on qualification to Eversheds in Newcastle, and moved to London in 2002 to join Penningtons as a senior solicitor.Aarti left private practice in September 2004 to move into the public sector.
