We were proud and thrilled to witness the oath of office taken by Representative Jimmy Puckett January 8, 2008 in Jackson.Representative Puckett is a long time member and, until recently, officer in the Monroe County local of Mississippi American Federation of Teachers, PSRP.We are looking forward to having such a distinguished and hard-working member in the State Legislature.

Representative Puckett is from Monroe County.He is a freshman Representative of whom we are immensely proud.He has been named the Vice-Chairman of the House Labor Committee and serves on the Education Insurance, Municipalities, Juvenile Justice and Judiciary A Committees.He has been an officer and member of AFT MS for many years.We look forward to working with Representative Puckett for many years to come.
