Elk Grove Village, IL, December 15, 2003 ... Alexian Brothers Medical Center (ABMC) has announced the recent appointment of Kathleen Prunty as Vice President of Human Resources and Hospital Services.Kathleen will have administrative oversight for Hospitality and Nutrition, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Public Safety, Volunteers, Gift Shop, Child Care Center and Telecommunications.
Kathleen joins Alexian from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), where recently she served as Director of Patient Support Services.In addition, Ms. Prunty serves as Adjunct Professor of Leadership and Corporate Communication for the Graduate School of Business at Dominican University.She has a MBA in Hospital Administration and Human Resource Development from Dominican University and achieved her undergraduate degree from Rosary College in Foods and Nutrition Management and Corporate Communication.Ms. Prunty is a senior ethics disability scholar at the Center for the Study of Disability Ethics, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Medical Humanities and Bioethics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago awarded her the 2003-2004 Sarah Baskin Award for Excellence in Research in Disability Ethics.
