One of Dr. Pruitt's most cherished awards was receiving the Distinguished Fellow of the International Chiropractic Association in 1971.

Dr. Sterling Pruitt was elected State Representative from Texas to the International Chiropractic Association, 1972-1973.He was National Representative to the Federation of Straight Chiropractors, 1982-1984.He is a past President of the Chiropractic Society of Texas, 1979-1980 and 1989.In 1995, Dr. Pruitt became a Kale Certified Brain Specialist.
