Shennice Pruitt is an artisan Chocolatier and owner of Literary Sweets, a book, chocolate and coffee shop located in the historic Eau Claire section of Columbia, South Carolina.Ms. Pruitt's passion for literature and cooking have manifested in a unique concept that combines two of her favorite things.Literary Sweets is Ms. Pruitt first retail venture into entrepreneurship .

Ms. Pruitt is a loyal supporter of the community.She is an advocate for women's issues and promoting literacy.She is a member of the Public Policy Committee for the South Carolina Association of Community Development Centers.She participates in the Chamber of Commerce Women and Minority Diversity Council and a graduate of the Benedict-Allen CDC IDA Grant Program.In 2006, Ms Pruitt facilitated the Columbiana Ridge "Kids in the Ridge" book club through the Columbia Urban League.Ms. Pruitt and Literary Sweets have participated in the Richland County Public Library "A Tisket ,A Tasket" fundraiser , Dining with Friends Fundraiser and The South Carolina Book Festival.Literary Sweets holds monthly fundraisers to benefit community organizations and groups.

Ms. Pruitt is a native Columbian who attended Richland Northeast High School and the University of South Carolina . After an 8 year tenure in Atlanta, she returned to Columbia in 2003 to achieve her passion.She enjoys spending time with friends, creating chocolates, and drinking coffee.She is the mother of one daughter, Adrienne.
