It appears most people are back to work , said Henry Pratt , chief operating officer at Capital Partners Inc. of Jacksonville , owner of the 36-floor Modis building at 1 Independence Drive.Pratt said yesterday was a typical workday.

I don't know how productive people will be , but we are all trying to get back to normal.Obviously , it is a topic of high concern not for their own security in this building , but just from a general concern for the lost lives of the country , he said.

Most downtown buildings continue to use tightened security measures.

They hope to fill the building with training schools, manufacturing and distribution companies and other large tenants, said Henry Pratt, Capital Partner's chief operating officer.

The first offices could be ready by January, he said.

The 90-acre property also includes 29 acres of vacant land, which already has attracted interest from residential developers.The property is to the west of Interstate 95 in an area buzzing with commercial activity.

"This has always been a prominent location in Boynton Beach," Pratt said."There's a lot of growth in that area.It's convenient to the beach and I-95."
