Rohan Pottinger - Technology Director (Jamaica)Rohan's career at Digicel is marked by successful progression.After joining the Team as a Senior Switch Engineer in September 2000, Rohan was quickly promoted to the position of Network Engineering and Support Manager.In April 2005, he was again promoted to the senior management position of Head of Technology and performed in that capacity up until his recent appointment as Technology Director.

Rohan's career at Digicel is marked by successful progression.After joining the Team as a Senior Switch Engineer in September 2000, Rohan was quickly promoted to the position of Network Engineering and Support Manager.In April 2005, he was again promoted to the senior management position of Head of Technology and performed in that capacity up until his recent appointment as Technology Director.In his current role, Rohan has responsibility for the roll out and day-to-day operation of Digicel's Telecommunications Network as well as the IT infrastructure.A graduate of the University of Technology Jamaica with a Diploma in Instrumentation Technology, Rohan has worked in various areas of telecoms, maintenance, installation and rollout and has amassed over fifteen years experience in the Telecommunications Industry.He is married to Marlett and is the proud father of 2 girls: Danielle and Abigail.

Digicel Technology Director Rohan Pottinger, added that Digicel's systems have now been upgraded and full service has been restored."Our planned upgrade took more time than we had originally anticipated" admitted Potter.He continued, "customers however are now able to add credit to their mobile phones using any of our 11 top up methods".

Rohan Pottinger has been with Digicel from the very beginning.He joined Digicel as Senior Switch Engineer.Rohan was later promoted to Network Engineer and Support Manager and in this capacity was instrumental in the implementation and continued expansion of the network in Jamaica and in the integration of other island networks.Consequently, Rohan was promoted to Acting Head of Technical on June 14, 2004.In this capacity, Rohan now has responsibilities for ensuring that the future planning of the Network is done in the most economical and timely basis.
