Yetman Hall Committee President Charmaine Potter said the hall was one of the most used in the region.
The unlined weatherboard building, built after the end of World War I, is the base and regular meeting venue for the local branch of Home and Community Care, the CWA, the P&C, National Parks and Wildlife, sporting groups, senior citizens groups, martial arts groups as well as social and school activities.
Recently community members sanded the floor of the hall and Inverell Shire Council has allocated resources to oil it.
"We love our hall and look after it," Mr Potter said.
