   Clariant Masterbatches, the world's leading supplier of color and additive masterbatches, has announced that Mark Potemans has been named vice president/general manager for the Southeast region. In his new role, Potemans will be responsible for the strategic development of sales, marketing and manufacturing of Clariant masterbatches in the Southeast, with a special concentration on the fiber segment of the Company.

He has been with the Company for 11 years, serving in a variety of areas including business manager for fiber masterbatches; business manager for black masterbatches, formerly located in Henderson, Kentucky; sales and marketing manager for the former Hoechst-Celanese; sourcing manager/product manager for fiber applications; and technical sales representative.
   
   Potemans holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering with a major in process engineering from Groep T. Leuven, Belgium.
