"Sometimes it was just zero visibility, and you couldn't see your own hand in front of your face," said Poston.

Five pile-up accidents, car after car slamming into the next, the worst ended with a twisted car slammed up underneath a potato truck.

"It was pretty much buckled and crunched, it took sometime to extricate the victims from that one because we literally had to tear the car away from them," said Poston.

Apparently more than Roberts, Idaho Mayor Ben Poston expected.

A proposal to change the town's name from Roberts to Market Lake has created an unexpected uproar in the hamlet of 600 residents.

Roberts is located just north of Idaho Falls in Eastern Idaho.

Poston says changing the town's name could bring more tourists to the area by creating a connection with the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area.

Residents opposed to the measure say changing the name given to the town in the eighteen-eighties would create an unnecessary hassle.

The issue has been tabled for now.

But Poston says he thinks the name change would be approved by sixty percent of voters if the measure was taken to the polls.
