Claudia Zeitz Poster is a Principal in the Executive Compensation practice of Towers Perrin's New York office.She brings an unusual combination of strategic and technical skills to the practice, based on her 20 years of experience in executive compensation consulting and 10 years of experience in corporate strategic/financial planning and actuarial consulting.
Claudia consults with both boards and management on all aspects of executive and director compensation, particularly developing total rewards strategy to support business strategy and designing short- and long-term incentives for corporations and their business units.She serves public and private companies, partnerships, and not-for-profit organizations in many industries, particularly financial services, and has considerable experience with companies undergoing a restructuring, such as an initial public offering, change of control, or bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Towers Perrin, Claudia was a Partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, leading the New York compensation consulting practice.Prior to PwC Claudia served for eight years as a Principal leading the New York compensation practice of Buck Consultants, and nine years as a Partner in Kwasha Lipton's Compensation practice (sold to Sibson & Company in 1990) and Sibson.Prior to that she held various corporate positions, including six years at American Express Company where she was Vice President , Financial and Strategic Planning for the Travel Division.She began her career as an actuary.
Claudia holds a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School.She is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and an officer of the board of the YWCA of New York City.
Claudia is a frequent public speaker, having addressed conferences sponsored by the Conference Board, the American Management Association, NASPP, and others.She has also authored numerous articles for publications such as Financial Executive, Directors and Boards, and Benefits and Compensation International.
