It's primary medical care, tailored to meet the unique needs of adults living with HIV provided by, Medical Director John Post, M.D.; Anita Culp, M.D.; and Brian Arey, A.N.P. Other services include medication adherence nurses and a treatment adherence case manager provide medication education and support; a comprehensive diagnostic laboratory testing including HIV RNA, CD4; radiology, including basic x-ray, CAT scans and MRI's; a women's clinic; outpatient behavioral health services also provide integrated assessment, counseling and medication services; dental care; clinical trials research in partnership with Body Positive, a non-profit AIDS Service Organization co-located with McDowell HCC, to provide access to promising new therapies for HIV and related diagnoses.

John M. Post, M. D., Medical Director for the McDowell Healthcare Center (MHCC), graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 1971 and did his residency in Internal Medicine at MIHS.He has worked as a general internist for MIHS since finishing his residency in 1977, and has been Medical Director of MHCC since 1990, (15 years).Since 1990 he has been active with the Aids Educational Training Center in Phoenix.Author of numerous medical articles, he is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care, International AIDS Society, Arizona Medical Association, American Academy of HIV Medicine and HIV Medicine Association of IDSA.He is certified through AAHIVM as a HIV specialist.He has contributed to numerous clinical trials.
