  We have expanded our Board of Directors and they have worked tirelessly, especially our president, Joyce Porter, to make sure this year will be even better than last year. We have increased our membership over the past two years-thank you to all our members.

  Joyce has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1988.This is her fifth year as president.She has an M.A. in theater from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Speech Education from UIUC.She is a full time actress, appearing on screen and stage.Her film work includes roles in "Crime Fiction", "Chicago Overcoat", "The Art of Pain", "Dog Jack" and many others.She has acted with many Chicago area theaters including doing some performances with OPFT as the Abbess in "The Comedy of Errors" and Elinor in "Robin Hood".She also does industrials and commercials.
  
  Joyce has directed over 30 plays and retired from Moraine Valley Community College as Professor of Theater and Humanities and Coordinator of the Theater Department.She still teaches an occasional class.She has lectured on the arts on cruise ships and to groups.She resides in Oak Park with her husband Paul.Her son David, who has worked with the theater, is in charge of lighting for the shows on a Carnival Cruises ship.
