"The Flynn Center was singled out for its distinguished record of service over many years throughout the region," said Jane L. Polin of the Dana Foundation.

In particular, the Flynn was recognized for its partnership with Saint Michael's College's Graduate Education Program.For nearly a decade, the Flynn and Saint Michael's have co-sponsored courses, open to pre-service and practicing teachers, and independent studies in the arts in education, using Flynn performances and workshops as texts.
