Larry LaFayette Poe

Poe had numerous leadership assignments, including commanding all Naval Intelligence Reservists in the Washington metropolitan area a command of over 800 drilling reservists.Since his selection to Flag Officer rank, he has served as the Vice Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Atlantic Command, and as Commander, Naval Reserve Intelligence Command a nationwide command of over 4500 reservists.

In a Naval career that spanned some 36 years, Rear Admiral Poe has been recalled to active duty to serve in three key leadership assignments: Commander, Office of Naval Intelligence; Principal Director for Intelligence to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and as the U.S. Defense Attaché to France.Rear Adm.Poe is currently the Deputy Inspector General for the Coalition Provisional Authority in the Office of the Inspector General.

The eight others who were inducted were Lola L. Bates, the Rev. Warren M. Brown, Grace McMullen Henderson-Littlejohn, the Rev. Nathaniel Jarrett Jr., Susan Wear Kluttz, Dwight Messinger, Rear Admiral Larry Poe and Geraldine Jackson Walker.
