Plummer, who works in the business risk services division of Ernst & Young, has lived in Sykesville for a little more than a year.His wife, Tracy, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, grew up in Sykesville.The couple shares one of the town's older homes and is looking forward to raising their child in the town.

Plummer said that while he does not have any particular agenda, he wants to become more involved with the town that his child will grow up in.

"We're putting out future here so it makes sense to get involved," he said.
