"We want to support our community and the people who support us," said Meijer store manager Barry Playford.

"Things have been re-arranged to make more sense," said Barry Playford, Meijer store director."We've done some things in the pharmacy area that people have asked for."

Other major additions include an expanded electronics department, located in the rear left corner of the store.Giant blue letters on two of the walls also help direct customers.

"We've expanded on items and eliminated some others," Playford said.

"There are a lot of things we're doing to make (Meijer) a more enjoyable shopping experience," Playford said.

For nearly 24 hours, Meijer customers have been confused by conflicting stories about various fuels purchased from the store.

"It got out of hand very quickly," said Playford."We are just pleased that no one has been hurt and our customers can go back to business as usual.At this point, we'll leave it up to the fire department to continue their investigation into the original story."

On Thursday a Flint woman contacted the Mt. Morris Fire Department claiming the Kerosene she purchased from the store had caused a fire in her heater.The fuel she used allegedly "smelled funny," and it was assumed the fuel was contaminated.
