The third winery with a capacity of one million litre will become operational in January 2006, Adrian Pinto, general manager, National sales and Marketing, Sula Vinery told this correspondent.
"We already have two wineries at Nashik handling 7.7 lakh litres.In addition, last December we leased out a facility from N.D. Wines with a capacity of 2 lakh litres," he said.The company has been growing at a rate of 150 per cent as opposed to the industry's average of 25 per cent growth rate, Mr Pinto said.The company sells over 70,000 cases of wines in the domestic market and exports 6,000 cases making a turnover of Rs 20 crores (04-05).Mr Pinto said the company targets a 25 per cent market share in the next five years when the market is expected to be at 3,50,000 cases.
