Peter James Pih

Two influential hires for the equity team were Innes McKeand, our Head of Equities and Peter Pih, Head of Quantitative Portfolio Management.

AEGON Asset Management UK today announced the appointment of Peter James Pih as its new Head of Quantitative Portfolio Management.

Pih joins a 41-strong investment team managing more than £40bn.He will focus on building quantitative modelling systems that support the investment managers in constructing their portfolios.He will report directly to Andrew Fleming, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer.

Pih has more than 19 years' experience in investment management, including spells in both London and New York.Before joining AEGON he worked as a consultant, advising on quantitative modelling systems and portfolio construction issues.Prior to that he spent four years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as Head of Active Equity Portfolio Construction.

Before moving to London Pih spent more than 13 years based in the USA, working for a number of asset managers including TIAA-CREF and Ark Asset Management.He spent around ten years directly managing portfolios.He was educated at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, and at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), where he completed an MBA.
