The event is being planned by Fellowship's Development Director, Hollis Pierce. She is asking that each Fellowship Family sell two (2) tickets to the performance to help make the event a success. If your church organization would like group tickets, please call Ms. Pierce at (415) 239-0511, ext. 321 or email her at hpierce@fellowshipacademy.org .
In addition to selling tickets, Fellowship will need volunteers for the following activities:
Raffle PrizesSo far, Ms. Pierce has located an African-American woman who specializes in making quilts. There is a good chance she will be donating one for the Raffle "Grand Prize".If there are any parents who are willing to work on a committee to coordinate other prizes, have a gift or item(s) you would like to donate, or are willing to solicit donations from local businesses, Fellowship needs you!
Raffle TicketsMs. Pierce will need individuals on the day of the event to seel raffle tickets.
GreetersOn the day of the event, Ms. Pierce will need greeters at the Lorraine Hansberry Theater. The actual performance begins at 4:00 P.M., but the V.I.P. patrons will attend a brunch from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Because this is a benefit for the school, Ms. Pierce would like Fellowship Family members there to show appreciation for the Patrons' support.
Gift BagsAs a part of our "Thank You" for supporting the evnt, gift bags will be provided for the $100 and $60.00 ticket holders.Ms. Pierce will need volunteers to assemble the gift bags December 10 - 12.She is trying to get Virgin Records Megastore to donate 200 gospel/Christmas CD's.
Corporate SponsorshipMs. Pierce is asking State Farm Insurance to underwrite the event (catering and related expenses). If a parent knows of other groups that may want to co-sponsor the event, okease let me know immediately.A program acknonledging sponsors will be available the day of the event.
Ms. Pierce has already worked very hard on this event and would like to make it an annual event. If you are planning on buying tickets for your family, please purchase them early. The lower priced tickets will probably sell out first, so I am allowing time for the Fellowship Family to get first choice.Puvlic service announcements to radio and newspapers will go out in November, and ticket purchases are on a first come, first served basis.
Again, to volunteer your time, recources or services, please contact Fellowship's Development Director, Hollis Pierce at (415) 239-0511, ext 321 or email her at hpierce@fellowshipacademy.org . If all of us pitch in, we can make this event a spitiually and financially rewarding experience for Fellowship Academy!
