Mr. Pier has over 28 years experience in the petroleum industry with increasing responsibilities which included a draftsman, completion tools and technique instructor, project engineer, drilling engineer, production engineer, staff engineer, operations engineer, engineering manager, operations superintendent and operations manager.Mr. Pier's experience includes drilling, completion, workover and production operations on a well mix including normal wells, high temperature-high pressure wells, deep gas drilling, under-balance drilling, directional drilling, horizontal drilling, oilbase mud drilling, air/mist/foam drilling, sour gas drilling, coil-tubing operations, snubbing operations, stimulation operations, inland waters operations, BLM, BIA and Forest Service operations and offshore operations in both state and federal waters.Additionally, Mr. Pier experience includes AFE generation, well plan procedures, supplies procurement, wellsite supervision, regulatory compliance, operations surveillance and budget planning.Mr. Pier's employment history includes Baker Oil Tools, Exxon, Columbia Gas, Belco Operating, Vastar, and BP though 2001.Since 2001 Mr. Pier has work as a contract or consulting engineer including Badger Oil, Nuevo and Kerr-McGee.Mr. Pier received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston in 1981.He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas since 1988, and a Certified Environmental Inspector with the Environmental Assessment Association since 1989.He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers and the American Petroleum Institute.
