Katrina Pielli - Clean Energy Policy Specialist, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Ms. Pielli is a Clean Energy Policy Specialist in the U.S. EPA Energy Supply and Industry Branch which promotes clean energy solutions that avoid/reduce the risk of climate change. Her primary roles in the Branch are to lead and strategize efforts to promote state policies and programs which are favorable to clean distributed generation, and to assist state utility commissions in exploring approaches that deliver significant energy cost savings and other benefits through greater use of clean distributed generation. Ms. Pielli also coordinates with the clean distributed generation industry, energy users and government organizations to provide tools and information to further policies and programs that support clean distributed generation.
Prior to this position, Ms. Pielli was a Program Manager in the U.S. EPA Combined Heat and Power Partnership. In this capacity, she assisted with CHP market development efforts and provided direct, tailored support to many EPA CHP Partners to help increase the number of cost-effective, environmentally beneficial CHP projects that are installed
Ms. Pielli has worked in the field of energy services including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean distributed generation for six years. Prior to joining EPA, Ms. Pielli worked as an energy efficiency consultant in Washington, DC .
Ms. Pielli has a Master's in Environmental Management and Policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and received her B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Cornell College. -
