A graduate of the City University of New York (CUNY) in Electrical Engineering (BEEE, 1980), Patrick worked as a Senior Analyst at Bloomberg Financial Markets, LP.He offers hands-on experience in marketing, program management and information technologies.He also holds a graduate degree in Computer Sciences from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ (MSCS, 1988).
Patrick brings with him a rich managerial and R&D expertise in a wide variety of business sectors ranging from aerospace (GE- Astro Space Division , NASA Satellite Projects), military avionics (ITT Avionics Division), scientific research (Advanced Software Development Center , Fort Monmouth, NJ) to financial markets (Lehman Brothers).With this eclectic background, Patrick held responsibilities as challenging as prestigious at IBM Global Services, Computer Sciences Corporation, General Electric-AstroSpace Division, Singer-Kearfott Division of Aerospace Products where his work performance met or exceeded demanding corporate expectations.Patrick is a former Chairman of the General Activities from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) - Communications Society, New York Chapter.
For the past nine years at Bloomberg, he was instrumental for assisting senior management and existing/potential clients for developing and implementing innovative business models that add value to the company's existing trade and market data products.Organizational management, leadership skills, and innovation enable Patrick to determine how resources can be used to preventing possible projects shortfalls.This acquired experience has been the stepping stone for applying his knowledge all along his career to other professional endeavors.
Patrick is a former Senior Business Development Consultant for a small American-Israeli company YRM Investments Inc.In this capacity, he is responsible for organizing a business development conference in Beijing, China in November 2004.This conference was a resounding success.This initiative led YRM Investments to the opening of its Beijing office in late 2005.Focus of this conference was on business development models, synergies of human capital with financial resources within the private sector, especially health care products, and wellness centers construction and management.The conference's objective was part of an effort to stimulate and promote business relationships between Chinese entrepreneurs with their American counterparts in light of the upcoming 2008 Olympics in China.Patrick's role culminated to the Directorship of the YRM Investments' China office that dealt directly with business services supporting the Beijing Olympic Village.
Other worthy professional pursuits led Patrick to business development and partnership exploration in New Dehli, Gauwahati, Assam, India in 1997.In cooperation with the Business Incubation Center (Assam State Government) and the academic arena (colleagues from Assam University School of Engineering and Applied Software Development), Patrick worked with Indian NGOs in a variety of workshops dealing with the development of poverty-reduction models that are based on electronic assembly, low-level manufacturing labor intensive projects, and designing, developing, manufacturing indigenous cooking tools promoting alternative energy practices.Since then, Patrick has developed the passion to secure in the near future dynamic linkages between Indian and Haitians professionals especially in the domain of knowledge transfer and technical cooperation.
A relentless self-starter, Patrick has the capacity to apply his experience across multidimensional disciplines related to trade, economic development, and people-to-people cooperation.Private consulting assignments and responsibilities enable Patrick to initiate business in Luanda, Angola (1996) in the energy sector, in Accra, Ghana (1996) in cocoa production.Additionally, on behalf of the "Haiti-New Jersey Partners" (a vibrant chapter of the Partners of the Americas), Patrick went in 1995 on a fact-finding tour to the Southeast of Haiti.This assignment was to collect vital data directly related to the economic potential and needs of the region.This effort led to the review and effectiveness of microcredit programs, coffee production and farming techniques, public school system at the primary and secondary levels, public infrastructure adequateness, and the state of the tourism industry.Data were collected from officials at the region's Chamber of Commerce, civil society organizations and associations, and health care professionals from St. Michel Hospital.This rich experience is compiled in a report released to the Partners of the Americas calling for the implementation of a comprehensive business model that would assure growth, social cohesion, and the modernization of Haiti's the Southeast.
Patrick takes a real pleasure for pursuing intellectual endeavors in international politics, the dynamics of the global marketplace (especially the rise of emerging economies), Haiti's competitiveness in the Caribbean, the remedial and modernization of university education in the technical and economic sciences in Haiti, market incubation of new industries, and means for the creation of a new Haitian labor force.He maintains cordial working relationships with professionals in the Haitian diaspora both in academia and the private sector in the US, Canada, and Europe.
