    The talented teen Philippe, whose brother Nelson races in Champ Car, struggled with his results but he showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie Atlantic season.The Frenchman and 2005 Formula BMW champion joined the Forsythe Racing four-car superteam in 2006.He showed good speed throughout the season but his race results suffered as he fell victim to several on-track incidents and mechanical issues.Philippe earned his first podium result with a second-place finish at Cleveland.He had three top-10 finishes in all and compiled 86 points to rank 15th in the overall series championship and 11th in the Rookie of the Year standings.

    Previous Racing Career2005: In his first season of competing in race cars, Philippe collected an unexpected championship in the 2005 Formula BMW USA Series at just 15 years of age.Along the way he posted three wins - at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - and secured five pole positions.

    2004: The offficial Tony Kart factory driver, Philippe became the youngest racer in history to win a SKUSA 125cc Shifter Kart event, claiming victory on the Palmetto SKUSA Winter Tour.
