Laurel Arts dance teacher Beth Petrillo said Aubrey brings enthusiasm and heart to the program.

"She's not just a great student, but a great kid," Petrillo said.

It would be an active life if dance were her only activity, but, of course, it is not. An honors student, she balances dance and school with track, soccer, FBLA, Forensics, Spanish and French clubs and the National Junior Honor Society, of which she is president.

Homework often waits until she gets out of dance classes at 9:30 p.m., or, she admitted, until "the morning right before class."
