    Adam Perlman was a born artist, but found his calling as a designer in 1988, when one of his illustrations was chosen for use on the cover of Publishers Weekly Magazine."This was the first time I saw something I had created, on news stands around town.I was hooked," He recalls.

    At the early age of 15, Adam began his apprenticeship in oil painting and studying figure drawing at the Silvermine Art Guild in Norwalk, Connecticut.After graduating high school, he started traditional art training and majored in graphic design at The Hartford Art School at The University of Hartford.In 1993, Adam transferred to the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.He graduated from Art Center in 1996 with honors, and a major in graphic design and packaging design.

    Empowered by his thorough education, Adam began working as an art director for Home Theater Magazine.He became known as a reliable designer for many successful design firms and advertising agencies throughout Los Angeles.One project that was very influential was when he served as the Project Manager for Universal Studios - Jurassic Park.While working on this project, his team developed over 300 units of licensed merchandise for Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure theme park.This became one of the most successful and highest grossing licensed merchandise campaigns of all time.This project allowed Adam to combine his artistic finesse with entertainment marketing.The hands-on knowledge gained from this experience only further enhanced his understanding of the design process as well as the true importance of the final product.

    Adam's attention to detail and understanding of the retail marketplace was exemplified by his extensive work at DIRECTV the satellite television provider.He designed and managed the production of more than 60 national retail promotions to acquire new DIRECTV customers.In three short years he witnessed the company's customer base grow from 3 million to over 10 million customers.Adam then re-designed and helped brand the DIRECTV publication, "DIRECTV-This Month", which is still used today and mailed to customers nationwide.Altering the size and format of this significant marketing piece saved the company over $2 million a year in printing and production costs.

    He was also responsible for designing the print advertising for all pay-per-view movies, events and original programming as well as marketing material and trade show exhibits for the Western Programmer Show and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

    It is clear to say that Adam's diverse experience as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director demonstrates his understanding of design not only as an art form, but also as a function of business.

    Adam Perlman - Principal/Creative Director In 2008, Mr. Perlman served on a panel of judges for the 2008 American Graphic Design Awards. He also volunteered by hosting a student one day a week, as a "Senior Experience" mentor for the Graphic Design program at Bergen County Technical High School in Parsippany, New Jersey. In September, Adam was nominated to a chapter officer position by the BNI Crossroads Networking Group in Mahwah, New Jersey. He will serve as a Mentor Coordinator and helps new members learn about policies, expectations, and participation in the Networking group. Perlman Creative Group is also a member of the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Art Directors Club of New Jersey.

    Adam's professional excellence has been recognized with a 2007 American Graphic Design Award and a Point-of-Purchase Advertising International Achievement Award. He has designed the covers for two #1 best-selling business books by Ivan R. Misner: Masters of Success and Masters of Sales. He also managed the entire project, maintained budgets, and led the creative team, which included illustrators, copywriters and several production artists.
