MERIDEN -- Bertha A. Pereyo, 91, of 234 Spring St., died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Westfield Care and Rehab Center after a brief illness.

Born March 12, 1913, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Baran) Bianchi.She had attended Meriden schools.Ms. Pereyo retired from Cuno Manufacturing of Meriden.She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.She was known by the neighborhood children as "grammy."
