Karla Peregrina is Professor of Social and Environmental Responsibility at the University of the Caribbean, in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico.Karla is also a biologist and has worked as a science & environmental journalist since 1999.She has collaborated with some of the most important written media in the country, and with the Mexican Academy of Sciences.Karla is currently collaborating with the Journalism Unit at the Office for Science Promotion at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the SciDev News Agency, the ,C,mo Ves?Magazine, and others.Her specialty is the coverage of issues related with biosafety and GMOs.
