Thomas Peregrin, a Manogue graduate, and Yerington's Mark Dodge, both signed letters-of-intent in December to transfer to Division I schools from junior college.
Peregrin, a quarterback, spent the past two seasons at Bakersfield (Calif.) Community College, and signed with Western Michigan.
According to information compiled by the Bakersfield Californian, Peregrin holds school records in passing attempts (546), completions (348), yards (4,662) and passing touchdowns (39). Playing in a historically run-oriented offense, Peregrin is only the second Bakersfield College signal caller to surpass the 3,000-yard mark passing. In 2005, he threw for a single-season record 28 touchdowns. His 293 attempts and 174 completions, also single-season records, resulted in 2,715 yards. His 1,957 yards passing as a freshman is the third most ever in a single campaign at BC.
Peregrin, (6-3, 200), was chosen to the All-California Region III team.
As a senior, at Bishop Manogue, he was 69 of 106 for 1,490 yards and 26 touchdowns. He threw six interceptions.
Dodge spent four years in the U.S. Army after graduating from Yerington High, then played the last two years as a linebacker at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. He was stationed at the Pentagon when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. He said he was attracted to A&M in part due to its military background.
Dodge led Feather River in tackles in both of his years there, and this season he led the Golden Eagles with 144 tackles, two sacks and eight tackles for loss. -

the pack at Saturday's spring game, but all three -- Thomas Peregrin, Tim Hiller and Drew Burdi -- showed enough for me to believe WMU can win with them.
...
Hiller looked fantastic on one 94-yard scoring drive, Peregrin found a rhythm during the first half and Burdi made a couple exceptional throws.
...
All eyes will be on senior Thomas Peregrin, sophomore Tim Hiller and redshirt-freshman Drew Burdi.
...
Peregrin will start with the first team, but all three will see time with the top group.
...
Unlike last week, Burdi took just as many snaps as senior Thomas Peregrin and sophomore Tim Hiller, and much of Burdi's time came with the first unit.
...
Peregrin had a better morning than last Saturday, though some of that was because Jamarko Simmons has become a flat-out playmaker.
...
Simmons caught the only touchdown pass of the scrimmage from Peregrin on a 7-yard fade rout.
...
Peregrin scored on an 18-yard scamper where he faked a hand-off right and took off left.
...
Thomas Peregrin's 4-for-12, 13 yards and an interception).
...
I get the sense that Cubit would love for Peregrin to take hold of this offense.
...
Peregrin, admittedly, didn't play well Saturday. Several of his passes were tipped and he never found a rhythm. He can make all the throws, however.
...
Also, for what it's worth, quarterback Thomas Peregrin took the reps with the first team during the short scrimmage at the end of practice.
