    Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, S.C., (CCSCI) is pleased to announce Medical Oncologist Maria T. Grosse Perdekamp, M.D, will begin an Oncology Specialty Clinic located within Kirby Hospital in Monticello on December 6, 2005.

    Dr. Perdekamp specializes in medical oncology and hematology. She will see patients weekly at Kirby Hospital on Tuesday mornings.

    Services provided at the clinic will include initial exams to confirm diagnosis, review of patient history and medical records, discussion of treatment goals and options, and administration of various treatment therapies. A specially trained and certified chemotherapy nurse will assist the physician and administer chemotherapy treatments during clinic hours.

    When asked about the new clinic, Dr. Perdekamp says, "I look forward to seeing patients in Monticello. This clinic will allow patients to receive much of their care and treatment close to home-and they will have local access to state-of-the-art care and National Cancer Institute sponsored research programs."
