Katie returns to OCS for her fourth year as a K/1 teacher.She graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Psychology, and earned her teaching credential and Masters of Education from the Claremont Graduate University.Prior to coming to OCS, Katie taught kindergarten for four years at Linda Vista Elementary in Pasadena.She is passionate about encouraging children to develop a love of learning and reading.Katie strives to make learning come alive for her students through engaging literature, hands on activities, games and special projects.

Katie continuously seeks opportunities for professional development.She regularly attends workshops, reads current professional literature and is a member of several professional groups.Outside of work, Katie enjoys outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her family.
