   Joseph Peraino specializes in transportation and water resource issues, working primarily with the firm's public-sector surface transportation, water resource and airport clients.
   
   Before joining LMRC, he served as the Washington representative for the Maryland Department of Transportation, where he worked on numerous airport, highway, transit and port funding issues. For over a decade, he has worked with relevant congressional committee members and staff on transportation issues.
   
   From 1982-86 he was the chief legislative aide to Representative William Lipinski (D-IL). He was responsible for the Congressman's legislative and committee work on the House Public Works and Transportation Committee and the Merchant Marine and Fisheries Committee. Before that, he worked for Reps.

   Mr. Peraino holds a Bachelor's degree in political science from the State University of New York at Oswego and has studied at George Washington University's Graduate School of Government and at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
