Stephen Pence

Mr. Pence has been the CIO of Western State Hospital in Tacoma since 1999.His prior experience includes working with other healthcare provider organizations, such as Northwest Hospital and Harborview Medical Center, and software vendors such as Future Systems, Inc., and M Software.

Mr. Pence has a BA in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Washington.He is a member of HIMSS and the HIPAA Committee for Washington State Mental Health, DSHS.

Mr. Pence has published articles in the Journal of Informatics and M quarterly, entitled "VA Software in a Trauma Setting" and "Integrating Statistics Software to the VA/DHCP System" respectively.
