The Coast Guard is modifying all 96 HH-65s in its fleet to the improved HH-65C version, and American EurocopterÂ's conversion work at the Columbus, Mississippi facility supplements an initial conversion line at the Coast Guard Aircraft and Supply Center in Elizabeth City, N.C.In the photo, EADS North America Chairman & CEO Ralph Crosby (left) and EADS CEO Thomas Enders (right) join American Eurocopter Vice President of Operations Sammy Pence in front of an HH-65 undergoing the conversion process at Columbus. This helicopterÂ's home base is the city of Mobile, Alabama, where Crosby and Enders earlier today participated in the groundbreaking of the new Airbus Engineering Center. Mobile also is home to EADS CASA North AmericaÂ's customer support and service center, which began operations in 2005.
