Al Pence, Controller of MNCBIA has complete fiscal responsibility for all association related financial management.He is the direct liaison for MNCBIA's Budget Committee, working with the Treasurer and the Executive Vice President to ensure financial stability.
Al has been in non-profit accounting for over 40 years, beginning with Project Hope in 1960.He was also employed by the American Chemical Society, and the American Cemetery Association before coming to MNCBIA in 1993.
Al is a graduate of Strayer University and has lived with his wife Sue in Alexandria since 1960.Sue has been employed by E C Ernst, an electrical contractor, since 1960.
Al has two children and two wonderful grandchildren (with another on the way).
His daughter Beverly now lives in Springfield, VA with her husband Bill who retired from the Air Force after 20 years.Bill now works in Silver Spring, MD as an engineer at NOAA.Beverly and Bill are both graduates from Southern Illinois University.
Al's son Scott resides in Manassas, VA, and is self-employed in his own legal research and document retrieval company.Scott is a graduate of George Mason University and has now applied to several law schools.
