Dr. Yoav Paz

Dr. Yoav Paz - Chief Medical ConsultantDr. Yoav Paz is an award winning heart and chest surgery specialist, and a member of the European Society of Cardiology.Currently working at the Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem Dr. Paz previously served on the staff of several other leading hospitals - the Wolfson Medical Center and the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.At Sheba he participated in a pioneering project that made computerized entry of patient data standard practice (a joint project with the Ness Company).Most recently, Dr. Paz initiated the Neovasc reducer - an alternative approach to treatment for patients with disabling angina who are not candidates for revascularization procedures, a project currently in advanced stage of development.Dr. Paz graduated from the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine from where he later earned both a MHA and a diploma of higher education in heart and chest surgery.He also holds a diploma in Electronic Engineering from the University's School of Engineering.Dr. Paz was a Major in the IDF Special Forces.Later he graduated the IDF's Forward Surgical Team, Damage Control course and now serves as a reserve frontline airborne doctor.Dr. Paz also spent some years working for the Israel MoD's Security Services (Shabak) in Israel and abroad.
