As is now well known, Steve Payne, our Deputy Head of 20 years, retires this summer.It is a terrific achievement to complete such a career and in such style.Teaching may not be everyone's first choice profession, but there can be no doubt that dedicated characters such as Steve are the best possible example and ambassador for the profession.He has been a loyal servant to the community of Brayton High School, and now the College, whether as a teacher of RE, dinner card mastermind, Acting Head, or the man running many of our major projects over the years, such as the building of the new maths block, opened this year.Steve has earned all the plaudits given him in recent weeks and we all wish him a happy and healthy retirement.
