Steve ParsonsDirector, Countryside Development Unit
Having attended the Universities of Nottingham and Reading, Steve joined the staff of the Institute of Agricultural Economics at Oxford University.Following a secondment to the National Economic Development Office, he began work at Harper Adams University College where he has been Senior Lecturer, Director of the Centre for Agri-food Marketing Studies, Head of Land Management & Rural Economy and, currently, Director of the Countryside Development Unit.

As director of the CDU, he is involved with MFEP ,Marches Farm Enterprise Programme,, CaRE ,a scheme to encourage convalescent care services on farms, and WiRE ,Women in Rural Enterprise,, all of which are run from the CDU.
