Richard has been with Harneys since 1984 and was a Partner from 1986 until June 2008, when he retired from full-time practice. He continues his association with the firm as a Consultant. Before joining Harneys, Richard practised in a major central London law firm and subsequently for six years in Doha, Qatar. His experience includes a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, banking, commercial property and conveyancing.

Richard speaks French and German and is a Notary Public of the British Virgin Islands.

Before joining Harneys 1984, Richard Parsons practised in a major central London law firm and subsequently for six years in Doha, Qatar.His experience includes a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, banking, commercial property and conveyancing.

His current primary responsibility is overall management of Harneys Corporate Services Limited, which handles the establishment of, and provides on-going support for, BVI companies, partnerships and trusts. Richard speaks French and German and is a Notary Public of the British Virgin Islands.

Having graduated from Leeds University in 1986, Richard spent several years working in London, before the wanderlust overtook him and he set off on a year's trip around the world, taking in south-east Asia, Australia, New Zealand, various Pacific islands and America!He joined Rix & Kay on his return in 1992, becoming a partner in 1999.He now works with the dedicated Residential Property team at our Seaford office.

Away from work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, and is now content to restrict his travels to an occasional walk in the country!
