DEBARY -- Dr. Louis W. Parratt, 93, of Azalea Drive, a physician and surgeon in Gary, Ind., died Oct. 6 at home.

Dr. Parratt, a Navy veteran having served as a lieutenant commander, was born in Salt Lake City and moved here in 1994 from Rolling Prairie, Ind.He earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago.He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Ward, DeLand, the Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita, DeBary; and a son, Louis.Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
