As a member of the Bluetooth SIG, Philsar is conducting early trials of Bluetooth technology that runs off a single-cell watch battery, says Antoine Paquin, president and CEO of Ottawa-based Philsar.

In March, Philsar announced completion of an equity investment round of US $ 10.6 million, raised from investors in the United States, Canada and Japan.Philsar recently announced an agreement with Mitel and Panasonic to develop a Bluetooth module for such applications as mobile phones, handhelds, wireless headsets, notebooks and peripheral products.The company plans to go public next year.
