Elihu R. Owings

During the administration of Ulysses S. Grant, Elihu R. Owings became Rockwood's second postmaster. The Owings were a prominent family who lived in Post Oak Springs. Aside from working as the postmaster, Owings also worked as the bookkeeper for the company store.
