Rod Othold has been in the Spring Branch ISD for 30 years as a teacher and coach.He began his career as an elementary health fitness teacher at Valley Oaks Elementary and later taught at Thornwood Elementary for 14 years.In 1991, Coach Othold was one of the teachers that helped re-open Northbrook Middle School.He has been a coach and health fitness teacher at NMS for the past 14 years.Currently he serves as the Campus Athletic Coordinator and the Health Fitness department chair.Coach Othold is a graduate of the University of Houston which he attended on an athletic scholarship.He and his wife, Betty, have been married for 27 years and have three daughters, all of whom have or are attending Spring Branch schools.
