Baan solutions help manage the transition from governmental to financial accounting, as Ralf Othmer, Vice President of Baan Deutschland GmbH explains:

The project was managed under the guidance of the State's Finance Ministry.It was originally scoped for 4,500 users but went live with additional users in December 1999, inside the original deadline.About 6,400 state employees in Lower Saxony's public administration authority's budget, cash and accounting departments now use the Baan solution.
