John C. Ory is the director of the Center for Teaching Excellence and professor in the Department of Human Resource Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.He received a B.A. degree in psychology from Augustana College (Rock Island) and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in educational psychology from the University of Kansas.Dr. Ory has written articles and books in the area of student, faculty, and program assessment and he has conducted teacher/faculty workshops on testing and assessment at the secondary and post-secondary levels.He has also reviewed and developed testing and assessment programs for profit and non-profit organizations.
