Kimball G. Orwoll is a Rochester native with over 25 years of experience practicing family law in the Olmsted County and Southeast Minnesota area.He is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Hamline University School of Law.He is admitted to the Minnesota State Bar, U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit, and to the U.S. Supreme Court.He is a member of the Olmsted County, Third Judicial District, Minnesota, and American Bar Associations.Mr. Orwoll has taken particular interest in advocating for the best interest of children.He is a volunteer guardian ad litem, and has extensive experience serving as legal counsel for guardians ad litem in Olmsted and neighboring counties.He is a member of Olmsted County's Children's Justice Initiative team, a joint venture of the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota Department of Human Services in each of Minnesota's 87 counties to improve the processing of cases and outcomes for children in child protection cases.He has served on a number of community service boards including the Salvation Army, and is a past president of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County.He is currently serving as a member of the Dissolution & Custody Advisory Committee for Family Service Rochester.Mr. Orwoll believes that collaborative law provides both parties with the opportunity to achieve a positive outcome through cooperation and respect, while avoiding the financial and emotional burdens that often result from litigation.
