Kevin M. Ong was awarded the Certified Public Accountant certificate from the State of Illinois in 1985 and is currently licensed as a Public Accountant in that state.Kevin is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Information Systems & Control Association, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.In 1998, Kevin was awarded the William S. Smith Certificate of Honor for ourstnding performance on the November 1997 Certified Internal Auditor examination.He has also earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Kevin is the firm's Manager in charge of Special Projects and Information Systems work.He has over 20 years of professional experience in the audit, accounting, and information systems areas.Prior to joining Orth, Chakler, Murnane & Company, CPAs, Kevin was the Internal Audit Manager at STAR Systems (Concord EFS) in Maitland, Florida for about 6 years.Before joining STAR, Kevin worked for Florida Hospital in Orlando as Senior Information Systems Auditor for 3 years and as a financial systems software developer and systems analyst for another 6 years.He has worked as an Accounting Manager and held various other accounting positions in the Chicago area for about 8 years.Kevin is certified to perform X9/TG-3 PIN Security Compliance Review and he is responsible for conducting most of the firm's E-commerce and information system reviews.
