Carolyn Olson Board Chair-2008 Retired Research Microbiologist MicroScan Diagnosed 1999

Carolyn Olson was diagnosed in 1999 at the age of 37. She was 13 years old when her mother passed away following a three year battle with breast cancer. She worked 13 years as a research microbiologist for MicroScan in West Sacramento, CA, but readjusted her priorities following her diagnosis. She has been on the board for several years and was elected as board chair in 2008. She is now a stay-at- home mom, busy with her children and volunteer work.
